Originally from the heart of New York City and now based in sunny South Florida, Crista Marie is the creative force behind What A Natural Photography. With a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and a Masters in Psychology, Crista brings a unique blend of artistry, technical skill, and emotional intuition to every session. Her love of photography exploded during her experience behind the lens while working at Walt Disney World in 2022, where she honed her ability to capture authentic, joy-filled moments. What started as a passion project for providing high-quality, affordable headshots quickly evolved into a full-service photography brand. Since founding What A Natural in 2020, Crista has photographed everything from newborn snuggles to wedding day “I do’s”—and everything in between. 

Known for her calm, confident presence and natural ability to make people feel seen, Crista specializes in timeless, documentary-style photography that honors real connection over perfection. While her roots are in portraiture, her work now spans weddings, elopements, lifestyle sessions, events, pets, and even product photography.

At What A Natural Photography, Crista’s mission is simple: to preserve your story with honesty, artistry, and intention—so you can be fully present while she takes care of the rest. Whether you’re walking down the aisle or capturing a quiet moment with loved ones, she’s there to make sure it feels effortless and true to you.
